Piraquara participa do Projeto INTAKE em parceria com a UFPR

A Prefeitura de Piraquara, por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde, firmou uma importante parceria com a Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) para a realização do Projeto INTAKE. A iniciativa internacional conta com o apoio da Fundação Bill e Melinda Gates e reúne pesquisadores e professores de diversos países.
O objetivo do projeto é validar um aplicativo de consumo alimentar, por meio da comparação entre os dados registrados pelos participantes e os cálculos realizados automaticamente pelo sistema, verificando sua precisão na estimativa de calorias e nutrientes consumidos.
Durante a fase de coleta, realizada nas Unidades de Saúde do município, os participantes são entrevistados e informam tudo o que consumiram no dia anterior. As entrevistas ocorrem sempre às sextas-feiras, conforme cronograma pré-estabelecido.
Além de contribuir para o avanço da pesquisa científica, o município será beneficiado com o acesso ao aplicativo validado, podendo utilizá-lo como ferramenta de apoio em ações de saúde e nutrição, além de ter o nome de Piraquara vinculado ao projeto internacional.
